Don Marinelli, Ph.D., is Director of Innovation for Inven Global, the English-language version of Inven Korea. He is also a Visiting Professor in Arizona State University’s Arts, Media, and Engineering program, and lecturer in Technology Management at Columbia University in the City of New York. Don was a Professor of Drama & Arts Management at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh for 31 years, retiring in 2012. He co-founded the world renowned CMU Entertainment Technology Center.

21st century digital natives are a different species of humanity due to the total integration of technology into their lives from their earliest years. This has resulted in young people populating myriad dimensions of reality - simultaneously. We as educators must speak to them across the various dimensions of physical, augmented, alternate, and virtual reality. This talk will discuss how this can be achieved and its future impact.

Competitive video gaming is the latest craze to hit higher education and social media, but it is actually a logical extension of the gamification dynamic proliferating throughout global culture. In that regard, "electronic" sports (i.e., esports) is an evolutionary step towards "everything" sports. There is little new in this. Time-based tests and exams have long determined individual skills and capabilities. Esports, though, expands this palette greatly.
